Second Irish Sarcoma Group Meeting

The Second Irish Sarcoma Group Meeting will take place at the Gibson Hotel, Dublin on Thursday December 3rd 2015. This year the focus will be on gynaecological sarcomas, desmoids and the sarcomas that affect teenagers and young adults. The meeting will be open to all healthcare professionals from the island of Ireland who have a special interest in this rare group of cancers. Dr. Charles Gillham on RTE radio’s Countrywide programme

Ronan Clarke died almost one year after being diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. The Mayo man was known to many as a former presenter on the rural affairs programme, Ear to the Ground. In advance of World Cancer Day, Ronan’s wife Sinead and Dr. Charles Gillham join Damien OReilly in studio to raise awareness of sarcoma and to highlight an early detection message pertinent to all cancer types.
